Sloanes Tackle Shop provides everything you need for fishing in the area. No matter what your favorite type of fishing or fish, we have what you need. We have Fly Fishing supplies, Walleye Fishing Tackle, Kokanee Salmon Tackle and Trout Fishing Tackle, as well as live bait and artificial bait.

Alcova Lake, Alcova Wyoming

Available fish species include Brown Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, Kokanee Salmon and Walleye. Rainbow and brown trout are stocked annually. A dinosaur interpretive trail is located near Cottonwood Creek Beach. A barrier-free fishing pier, restroom and shelter are located at Black Beach.

Pathfinder Reservoir

Available fish species include Browns, Cutthroat, Rainbow, and Walleye. Spend the weekend fishing at Pathfinder Reservoir and cooking up some walleye on the grills at The Inn at Alcova!

The North Platte River

Available fish species include Rainbow Trout, Cutthroat Trout, and Brown Trout. A few of the recreational activities include, fishing, canoeing, kayaking or floating in a drift boat. There are many river access points close by.

Miracle Mile

The North Platte River has a 104-mile stretch through the Upper Platte Valley named a blue-ribbon trout stream by Wyoming Game and Fish. Near Seminoe Reservoir lies a seven-mile stretch of river famous for huge trout and great fly fishing — the stretch known as the Miracle Mile.

Your Fishing Outpost

Between Pathfinder Dam and Alcova Lake is the fishing area known as the Cardwell access area. It provides excellent fly fishing for both rainbow and brown trout. You will also want to check out the nearby Miracle Mile, Grey Reef and North Platte River areas which also offer world class fly fishing.
